The No-Yeahs è il progetto musicale di Girlonbus, un'artista e illustratrice di Vallejo, California. La sua musica è un twee pop senza compromessi, tra ukulele e registrazioni in cameretta. A Roque Ruiz della Cloudberry, uno che se ne intende, ricorda The Tidy Ups e Free Loan Investments, paragoni assolutamente prestigiosi, oltre che azzeccati.
Per darvi un'idea dell'approccio di Girlonbus, mi sembra sia molto appropriata una didascalia che ho trovato sotto uno dei suoi disegni: "Art is my main form of therapy and I hate exchanging my emotional turmoil for dinero LOL".
L'ultimo singolo di No-Yeahs si intitola Romper Room, come il longevo programma televisivo per l'infanzia, e forse non è un caso che racchiuda proprio questo riferimento.
